I and many of my guests don’t like to mustard sauce from Key Largo. I far prefer the mustard’s sauce from Joe’s Stonecrab. You should offer a similar sauce.
We have had this discussion in the past, and we have taste tested (4) major players in the field. I think this comes down to a similar 'steak sauce' dilemma. Some like the harshness of A-1 / some the sweetness of Heinz 57 or a few others. We have been making our mustard sauce with a consistent recipe for years. We have discussed having another option that has more horseradish in it or one that has a little more sweetness to it. While we don't have that in the works yet, I can appreciate your 'taste bud challenge' and we will do our best to introduce more options in the future.
I made my own sauce. All the family liked Key Largo's better. [Back to the drawing board!]
Don't be hard on yourself. We have been making sauces for many, many years. It's just like those old recipes, you can try and imitate them, but it's hard to get that same taste. I'm sure your's was still wonderful...but deep inside....I'm glad ours won. Have a great holiday season with all your family and friends.
great sauce
My whole family loved the Key Largo mustard sauce.
