Florida Keys Spiny Lobster, also known as Caribbean Lobster, is a crustacean related to crabs, shrimp and crayfish. Spiny lobster as named because of the numerous spines on their bodies. Unlike the Maine lobster that have claws, Spiny Lobster house their meet in the tails. Florida Spiny lobster are typically caught in 6-300 feet of water and are harvested off the Florida coast and the Florida Keys. Lobster season runs from August to the end of March. Lobster has a firm texture and can be broiled, boiled, grilled, and fried. Our whole lobsters are sold by the pound. Each lobster is 1.25 lbs.
